Things has said some unexpectedly nice things about the photographic arm of this series/blog/book/project, so here's a few sets for your delectation that are otherwise unwritten-up. Lincoln, Leicester, Wakefield, Newport, Brecon, Cardiff, Catford, Eltham, Stratford, Edinburgh, Leith, Kew, Bournemouth. Most or some of these will be written about properly sooner or later.
Looking forward to seeing what you think of Wakefield's redevelopment which seems to have happened entirely in the space of the three years I was away at university. Shame your photoset doesn't include trips to the council estates, which make up much if not a majority of Wakefield's housing stock. Sadly they've largely gone for dutch-barn style houses, although not in traditional brick, rather than any attempt to re-create housing for the modern era. No Lubetkin here sadly. Interesting then that the latest buildings aren't entirely bad aesthetically (much less of that coloured cladding that seems to be everywhere on the residential ones at least), and the Hepworth gallery is using beton brut, associated with brutalism.
